Book Review of “Percy Jackson”

Hi guys! I haven’t wrote a book review in a while, but I’m back to write one. Today I’m going to be reviewing a series called “Percy Jackson & the Olympians.”

Before we start this review, I would like to say that the author, Rick Riordan, is amazing and you should definitely check out his other books too. However, today we’ll be focusing on what I believe is his most popular series, Percy Jackson.

I started this series in 3rd or 4th grade and I have reread it multiple times. There were a few sections or words I didn’t understand when I was in 3rd grade, but as I grew older and read the books multiple times, it started to make sense.

This book series is based on Greek mythology and gods. To give you a brief summary, Percy Jackson is a demigod, which means half-human, half-god. His father is a god (who I will not be naming as it gives spoilers) and he gets sent to a camp especially for demigods. There, he learn how to survive as a demigod and fight monsters that attack him. He makes new friends at the camp and goes on multiple quests to save the world.

I really like how this book had lots of imagery and I could really envision myself as a spectator in the story. The characters’ feelings and thoughts are also clearly displayed in the book. I am a huge fan of Rick Riordan’s books, but this is one of my favorite series from him.

Overall, I rate this book a literal 10/10 and would definitely recommend it for any age. Here is the amazon link for all 5 books : https://www.amazon.com/Jackson-Olympians-Paperback-covers-poster/dp/1484707230/ref=sr_1_4?crid=3DISWL15UA724&keywords=percy+jackson&qid=1641330029&sprefix=percy+jack%2Caps%2C742&sr=8-4

I hope you enjoyed reading this book review! Please follow me for more content like this and happy holidays!
