Hi guys, it’s Anya, and today I am back with another book review! I am going to be reviewing the book “Where the Red Fern Grows.”

Cover of “Where the Red Fern Grows”

Where the Red Fern Grows” is a book that talks about a boy who desire to have not one, but two hounds. The boy trains the hounds to hunt/catch a raccoon. Throughout the book, the boy has many adventures with the dogs and eventually trains them to be the best hunters in the area. It is also a very sad book (I will not reveal why because it will be a spoiler). The author made the story interesting by adding a major plot twist towards the end, which, again I will not reveal.

The first time I read this book, I did not like it. It was very boring and it did not keep me drawn in like other books that I have read do. However, the second time I read it in class, I liked it a little more than before. The book in general did not appeal to me because I don’t like sad books. I like action and adventure, which is the opposite of sad and emotional.

I don’t recommend this book for people like me who are more of a suspense, thriller type. I give the book a 5/10, but if you are interested in it, here is an amazon link to buy the book : https://www.amazon.com/Where-Fern-Grows-Wilson-Rawls/dp/0440412676/ref=sr_1_1?crid=2FCU679RRO4R5&dchild=1&keywords=where+the+red+fern+grows+book&qid=1626824214&s=books&sprefix=where+the+red+fern+%2Caps%2C242&sr=1-1

I hope you enjoyed this review! Adios!
